[Koharu spent much of the last week in her room or out in secluded parts of the park. So when she finally sat down at the table across from Ukraine, she barely spoke, just whispering]

I'm sorry...I--I understand if you'd rather I not stay around much.


B Porch (For Sora)

[Koharu stepped out, on her way to check the mail when she saw Sora standing there]

...O-Oh hello Sora.

[She knocks on the door, waiting uncertainly. She threatened him, why would he talk to her now]


D ANYWHERE

[Koharu is walking around silently, lost in thought and looking a little upset. Contrary to her usual behavior, she doesn't smile at her friends or acquaintances or even really notice them]

[Her smile suddenly went a little fake] Oh--really? Um...alright.

[Sora sighs and lowers the paper to her side.]

I'm sorry, Koharu. I kind of get what you meant and I don't think I can be that person for you... not right now... [She looks up from the porch boards to Koharu.] I do love you! You never have to doubt that! Only... it isn't like that. I don't think I can be that person for you. For anyone. I really don't know yet and you shouldn't have to wait for me to figure it out. It isn't fair to you.

[Koharu reached out and hugged Sora, letting go slowly. Her smile never even faltered] It's okay Sora! Really it's okay, I know you don't love me like that, I shouldn't have said anything--

I--I would wait for you forever but that's not fair to you either is it...

[The hug Koharu gets in return is just so tight. This is such a strange moment. She knows it isn't really okay, so why does Koharu keep acting like it is...? Is it? Is this normal? She steps back from the hug once the other girl lets go.]

...yeah. [Giving her friend a worried look.] Are you sure it is? Are you going to be alright?

[Koharu rubs at her eyes in the moment Sora steps away and nodded]

I know it's okay, I expected it. I'll be fine, really.

Really? [So unsure.] Um. Well. O-okay. I... guess I should... go now?

[She smiled and shifted to look away, finally shrugging] It's um--It's up to you.

[Sora finally manages to smile back, her own expression as true and honest as it has always been. She could just smile for real enough for both of them until Koharu felt better!]

I... think I will, but I'll be back! [She grabs Koharu's hands abruptly, but only to hold them.] And I promise to be a better knight, to not let anything else make you sad... okay?

[W-well, except her, b-but... she mostly means the killing stuff and...]

[Koharu is almost startled out of her smiling facade by Sora grabbing her hands...and she can feel herself tearing up. She has to get away before she breaks down in sobs in front of Sora. That's not fair to either of them, it's not Sora's fault]

T-Thank you Sora. You were, are, you're always my knight no matter what. T-Thank you.

[She bows deeply and dashes back into the house]
