A. Action; Cunningham Lane

[Her regain arrives a little late, wrapped in the usual box and she is quite confused to see it at first...She picks it up, rattles it, and then looks inside. Her gaze meets her own chest, framed within the borders of the polaroid and on it is her ownership symbol, the two overlapping Vs. She picks up the picture, confused by the intangible regain for a moment before she remembers Lithuania's scars. The soft burning on her chest makes her hiss and she presses a hand to where it must now be.]

It's back? That's what I gained back from the town?

[Unfortunately she is going to unbutton her shirt right there, just down to her cleavage to examine the mark that now rests on her chest]

There'd be no hiding that in a swimsuit would there . . .

B. Action; Shops

[The 50's dresses she has in her closet tend to do quite a lot to cover the mark on her chest, not that she'd care either way. It's her precious proof of ownership and she is glad to have it back. It's the proof that Sora owns her now and she thinks that's the best thing in the world. However, she has managed to find the one dress in that closet, cut a little too low for most sensibilities, but still a fashionable summer dress. She has a basket in hand and is going up and down the street in front of the shops more for something to do than to really buy anything]

C. Action; Diner

[The diner is not somewhere she usually goes, but she peeks her head in out of curiousity more than anything else. There is only so much one can do to pass time and the pool was no longer an option. She took a hesitant step in and looked around more boldly]

[There is almost an instinctive knee-jerk uneasiness in the way she words it, but he's prepared enough to tread carefully here.]

That's--a very loaded statement for us. How do you mean it?

Belonging to her...I guess I mean, um. I'd do anything for her. I want to see her dream come true, I want to help her help everyone else, I want to be by her side. I would give up everything for her...Ukraine says I use the wrong words but I don't have the right ones.

[Oh, he gets it now.]

You love her?

Yes, but...more than that? I want to be there for her even if she rejects me...Even if I know she'll never love me like I love her and even if we see her dream through and I'm not of any use anymore, I still want to be by her side.

I know how that feels. [Patting her on the head; she looks so sad.] Miss Ukraine reacted badly because when people talk about owning her, they mean it as actual ownership.

[A pause.]

Miss Ukraine especially keeps devotion and ownership very separated, because of her brother.

[She is in the process of getting over the fact that Sora will probably never love her like she does. With her mark and Ukraine all on top of this. She feels she has the right to be sad]

He showed up--was Miss Ukraine there or did he just wander in? Did he know it was her house?

[Suddenly distracted from his explanation with worry.]

[Half talking to himself out of worry.]

[There's yet another pause, this one longer.]

Russia is dangerous, Koharu.

...What? He...what? [Ukraine would have said something right]

[He sighs.]

Miss Ukraine will give him more of the benefit of the doubt--he's her brother, and he's from before things got--really bad.

[But Lithuania won't.]

...I don't...really understand. He didn't seem...He seemed nice. He didn't push the hug when I pulled away...

[Good, or Lithuania would have to have a talk with Russia.]

He's like a child. Which means he can be cruel like one.

I don't mind him...

He's not as dangerous as he will be, but-- [He wants to tell Koharu to avoid him but it will be impossible given that she lives with Ukraine.]

If he does anything, tell me.

So--You and Ukraine are worried he's going to do something to me, aren't you? You both asked me to tell you two if he did something...

If he's angry at Miss Ukraine, or at me--probably me...

If he is, and he knows he can use you to get us to--behave--he might.

...Like when they hurt Tomoko to get Sora to come running right?

[He's not sure who Tomoko is, but given what he knows of Koharuz's world...] Yes, like that. He's from 1812 right now--you've studied Napoleon? Around that time.

I...know only a little. Russia forced France back?--Oh that sounds stranger when it's people...Um, but do you really think he'd try to use me in such a way? He seemed so kind...

Napoleon was fought off via retreat--Russia moved back and burned his lands as he went so France would have nothing to use, even Moscow. Once winter arrived--you can't defeat Russia in winter.
